With undisguised enthusiasm, we would like to share with you the good news. After a long period of waiting for the results of the competition for the selection of Research Teams conducting scientific activities in the form of a Virtual Research Institute, we have received a positive recommendation for the funding of the project “Personalized endothelial diagnostics in anticancer treatment; towards modern vasculo-oncology” [Acronym: ADEVASCO]. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once again in recent years, Professor Stefan Ch\u0142opicki, director of JCET, will head an interdisciplinary research group carrying out a project in the area of endothelial biomedicine. The ADEVASCO project, led by the Jagiellonian University, involves five other institutions in Poland (Ludwik Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn, Medical University of Gda\u0144sk, Maria Sk\u0142odowska-Curie National Institute of Oncology – National Research Institute, Warsaw University of Technology). The WIB research team of the ADEVASCO project will be formed with the participation of scientists from these 6 units with complementary research and clinical expertise necessary for this ambitious project. The signing of the project agreement, the official start of the project and the communication of more details about this project are planned for September 2024.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of the research team’s scientific activities is to develop a new electrochemical aptasensor technology, using aptamers and original methodological solutions based on polymer nano-ratings and a dedicated POCT apparatus with flow microcircuits. This completely new technology will provide a tool to assist in the early diagnosis accompanying cardiovascular complications of cancer therapies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
