Anna Bar, Ph.D.

Head of the OPUS Project, NCN
e-mail: anna.bar@jcet.eu

Anna Bar obtained her PhD in Medical Sciences in 2019, at the Faculty of Medicine of the Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum. Since 2013, she has been scientifically associated with the Jagiellonian Centre for Experimental Therapeutics (JCET) and focused on  development as well as application of the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-based methodology for endothelial phenotype assessment in the large vessels, in murine models of cardiovascular diseases, in vivo. In 2020, she was awarded the prestigious Foundation for Polish Science – START scholarship, for outstanding young scientists with documented achievements in their field of research. In 2017 she received her first research project (PRELUDIUM12) founded by the National Science Centre: “Towards experimental pharmacology of endothelium in vivo based on multiparameter method of the assessment of vascular endothelial function in mice with the use of MR imaging techniques”, and now she is a principal investigator of the project OPUS20: “LDL-mimetic liposomal contrast agent for MRI-based detection of increased endothelial permeability in the early phase of endothelial dysfunction in vivo”.
